  • How old do I have to be to take a course?
    There is a minimum age of 18 years to be able to take any of the professional saddle fitting courses. There is a minimum age of 16 years unless accompanied by an adult to attend the horse owners day.
  • What experience do I need to take a course?
    Experience and confidence around horses with some riding experience. Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses require a minimum of 2 years experience with horses.
  • How do I enrol / register?
    Please complete and submit the enrolment/registration form. We will get back to you to arrange a telephone interview.
  • Are the courses accredited?
    Yes, the professional saddle fitting courses are accredited with UK Rural Skills (UKRS).
  • Will I become a qualified Saddle Fitter on successful completion of one of the professional saddle fitting courses?
    Yes. On completion and passing of the exam of one of the professional saddle fitting courses, you will become a COSF qualified Saddle Fitter.
  • Do I need to take the flocking course to work as a professional Saddle Fitter?
    We highly recommend that you complete this course to enable you to make the necessary adjustments that may be required during your saddle fitting consultation.
  • Do I have to complete the intro course before taking other courses?
    No.
  • How do I get my course material?
    You will receive your course material via e-mail and dropbox.
  • How and when do I pay?
    Your chosen course must be paid for in full before the course’s start date. All courses are non refundable. We accept the following: Bank Transfer By cheque made payable to The College of Saddle Fitting Ltd Interest free payment plans available, please contact us for details.
  • Where are the courses held?
    The practical aspect of your course will be held at various locations across the UK, so that you can pick the most convenient.
